After Hours:
Established patients with urgent after hours problems should call the office and ask the answering service to page the covering physician. If you do not receive a return call within 30 minutes, please call the service again. Technology is not perfect and we may not have received the message. Of course, life threatening emergencies ahould always prompt a call to 911.
Prescription refills:
Please call your pharmacy and ask them to transmit a refill request to our fax. You may need an appointment before we can authorize certain refills. New prescriptions will require an office visit – please call to schedule an appointment.
Test Results:
No news is NOT good news. We will always notify you by mail for all routine tests. Please call if you haven’t heard after two weeks. Of course, we will call you with urgent test results.
Referrals:
We believe your care is best managed in your medical home – our office. New referrals are part of a plan we develop together at an office visit. Please call the office for an appointment if you believe you need subspecialty care.
